One of the biggest reasons why labs are so popular is their temperament. Just looking at a lab, at the sweet eyes, wagging tail and happy body movements instantly shows how lovable and even tempered they are. But their looks are only the beginning. Their personalities are also wonderful. They make excellent family pets because they are lovable and friendly, and their social nature makes them want to be around people; they enjoy a setting where they are part of the "pack". Labs also do well in households that have other dogs or pets. Not only are they friendly, but their craving for affection and willingness to learn make them eager to please their family. This therefore makes them very easy to train, and incorporate as obedient family pet. The lab's happy go lucky attitude is very beneficial because it allows them to enjoy each experience it has, whether it is with the family, in the field or in training.
