Shelter for the Heart
In this gentle image by a master of remembered childhoods, the title suggests its simple message. "It's about hope," Steve Hanks comments. "It's about looking at rain for the first time without fear because you are with someone bigger than you, someone to hold on to. And it's about the beautiful innocence of young hearts that understand sunshine can be just a small, moving cloud away. Maybe this truth can be applied throughout our lives. And, maybe, in another kind of downpour we can remember that better times follow just behind the rain. And that we might be the one person someone else needs to hold on to."
