Info About the Artist Ron Iverson is one of the foremost visionary and
"realist" artists today. He is highly recognized for
his ultra realistic style of wildlife and scenic paintings. In 1995, Iverson created his own art publishing
company. The name was derived from Exodus 35:35, which states God
has gifted us in many areas, including that of 'artistic works'.
That year he created a series of Christmas prints for Ben
Franklin Craft stores. The 1995 promotion exceeded sales of
80,000 prints. Iverson Created the extensively collected
painting: "Lion and Lamb" with a lambs face hidden
within the lion's. The first year, sales topped 14,000 prints.
Soon after, Iverson released the popular print: "Wise Men
Still Seek Him". This painting is a depiction of the three
Wisemen following the star over Bethlehem. There is a lion hidden
in the sky as well. "I like to hide things in my
paintings," Iverson says, "it's kind of a
trademark." To date, Iverson has several new prints to be
released throughout the next 3 years, which are anticipated to be
as equally sought after. His visionary art can be found in over 3000
Christian bookstores and many art galleries nationwide. Currently
his originals are in over 300 private collections worldwide. Iverson draws his inspiration from his varied and
eclectic life experiences. Born in 1959 on the island of Oahu and
the son of a Topgun fighter pilot and whose mother modeled for
Norman Rockwell, finds his past full of rich experiences and
exposure to many ideas and cultures. Rons formal training consists of a B.A. in
Counseling in Theology and he minored in Commercial Art. During
his teens Ron, like many people was looking for meaning and
purpose in life. "Not having a strong religious background I had many
questions concerning the reality of God. When I was eighteen
I had a phenomenal experience with Christ that changed my
life. I had an understanding of why I was here
you
know
my purpose, my reason for being here. I realized
that God has given all of us unique and special talents and
giftings. Mine was obviously not music. I couldnt sing
a lick
except in the shower! No, I realized I was given
this passion to make pictures! I love photography, having
shot over 30,000 slides for reference. I love animals and God
created them and I love to paint them for people. Its
my way of adding beauty to someones life". Ron also creates what he calls visionary art. "I see so many pictures inside
me
you know of Jesus and the Bible. I have been to the
Middle East twice and both times had a radical impact on my
life. The Bible and the life of Christ are so real to
me
I want to share that with people." These days, much of Rons time is spent
traveling to art shows, or working on numerous projects, which
exercise his gifts and abilities. This all being done when he is
not painting in his studio or enjoying his very little free time
at the log home where he and his wife live, in central Minnesota. Iverson's other past interests include living in
Alaska and working as a Salmon fisherman. He also spent many
years as a fishing guide in Minnesota. Iverson also trained and
competed in body building contests. He won the first contest he
entered and claimed the coveted Mr. Minnesota title. He still
trains regularly today. Click images for

Giclée
Prints Like offset lithographs, giclée prints start
with an original painting. A transparency or original is scanned
into a computer, where it can be color corrected, stored
digitally and printed out as needed on an Iris printer. A series
of tiny nozzles spray the paper, which is mounted on a rotating
drum, with a fine stream of ink-more than four million droplets
per second is sprayed onto archival art paper. Exact calculation
of hue, value and density direct the ink from four nozzles. This
produces a combination of 512 chromatic changes (with over three
million colors possible of highly saturated, non-toxic
water-based ink. Since no screens are used in Giclee printing,
the prints have a higher resolution than lithographs and the
dynamic color range is greater than serigraphy. Even under
extreme magnification, these prints are virtually
indistinguishable from the original painting. And because they
are printed on the same archival paper that the original was
painted on, the impression of originality is even more
convincing. Home | Glossary
